Zenity raises $125M from SoftBank, Hitachi and LG to police AI agents inside corporate systems

Norwest led a $125 million round for Zenity, which secures and governs AI agents operating inside enterprise systems, with SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Hitachi Ventures and LG Technology Ventures joining. When the money moves to agent supervision, agents have stopped being pilots.

Follow where the capital goes to learn what phase a technology is in. Funding agent builders is a bet on capability; funding the layer that watches, constrains and audits agents is a bet that they are already inside production systems doing consequential things. A nine-figure round for agent governance is the clearest signal yet that enterprises have crossed that line.

The strategic investors sharpen the read. SoftBank, Hitachi and LG are not financial tourists — they are industrial operators with vast internal software estates, and their participation says the buyer for agent security is the same enterprise that just deployed the agents. Governance is being bought by the people who now have something to lose.

It also fits a broader security build-out: Straiker's $64 million Series A earlier this summer targeted the same problem, and payment infrastructure firms are racing to underwrite agent-led purchasing. The agent economy is growing its immune system at roughly the same speed as its muscles, which is a healthier sequence than the one the last platform shift managed.
