Avatar Robotics raises $6.5M seed, having shipped 900,000 products since December

AlleyCorp led the round, with Defy.vc having led the pre-seed and Headline, Henry Ford III and Refashiond participating. The company's stated goal for the money is reducing how much its humanoids depend on remote human operators.

The teleoperation number is the one that matters and the one nobody publishes. Humanoids in warehouses today are supervised to varying and largely undisclosed degrees, and a company naming operator-independence as the explicit use of proceeds is telling you where it currently sits.

Nine hundred thousand products packed, sorted and shipped since December 2025 is a real deployment record regardless. Volume like that generates the manipulation data that the models need, which is the argument for running assisted robots in production rather than waiting for autonomy in the lab.

Against a market where 95 percent of early-2026 robotics capital went to Series B and C companies, a $6.5 million seed is a deliberate counter-position — and the consolidation traffic around it, with Skild AI taking Zebra's robotics arm and Meta acquiring Assured Robot Intelligence, suggests the window for independents is narrowing.
