Cognizant stands up a dedicated agentic-AI unit for EMEA
Foundation, Accelerate and Transform tiers — strategy, rapid prototyping, and multi-agent production squads. The tiering tells you what the integrators have learned about where these projects die.
Cognizant has announced a dedicated EMEA AI unit to help customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa build, deploy and run agentic solutions, structured in three service tiers: Foundation for strategy, Accelerate for rapid prototyping, and Transform for multi-agent production squads.
The tier names are marketing. The structure underneath them is a diagnosis. Splitting strategy from prototyping from production is what you do when you have watched enough engagements fail at the seam between prototype and production to price them as different services.
The regional framing is not incidental either. EMEA is where the AI Act now has demonstrated enforcement, which makes "build, deploy and run" a materially different offer there than in North America. Running an agent in production in the EU carries transparency obligations that someone has to own, and the integrators are positioning to be that someone.
Consultancies building dedicated agent units is a lagging indicator with a useful property: they do not staff units for demand that does not exist. It is not evidence that agents work. It is evidence that enough enterprises are committed to finding out that the work is billable at scale.
